Yessssss!

Wow - you obviously do love that tank if you're taking it to bed with you too   (sorry, am in a silly frame of mind today).

I love that feeling of getting a new tank and setting it all up and finally, after much anticipation, being able to stock it.

What a nice Grandma you have. Have fun setting up your lovely new tank!

OMG, I FOUND A LID! My friend who has given me the brilliant quality guppies for free, and is offering me the breeding stock quality yellow labs for free, said he has an extra 29 g lid. So, im buying it from him for 5 dolalrs! It dosent ahve a light, i can either buy one, or use the heating lamp im using to light the 10g! I am still in a prediciment , i dont have any gravel =[ . Im playing poor innocent kid with my mom, and reinforcing the "it'll look terrible " thing, and she is basically ready to buy my ravel for it! hehehehehehehe . ATTENTION MOMS OUT THERE , yes your kids are playing you =] !

lol, thanks! But, my mom dosent think its good to gamble ( i dont see anything wrong with it, as long sa you have restricitons!).

Do as many chores as you can, literally stick by your mums side, drag her to LFS and keep mentioning those lights you need, If she goes out say "Oh are you leaving us alone again :D" make her feel as guilty as possbile :D......

lol. I was already supposed to have the Lid, but my mom had to my grandma to 2 different doc oppionments( she has VERY VERY bad feet problems, and she can barley wlak, plus shes waaayyy overwieght, so its even harder to walk).

You could try using pea gravel from lowe's or menard's. It might not be the perfect color, but it'd be good on a budget. Or play sand, however its kinda dirty....i've heard silica sand is cleaner but I think it's pricey-er. Glad you found a lid! Can't wait to see it all put together.
