My wife is Colombian- she went to watch the game with a bunch of her Colombian friends downtown. Dang I hate it for her. She was down about the US last night- gonna be really down tonight. She'll bounce back tomorrow, but luckily I have some banana pudding waiting on her when she gets home

Lionel Messi helped make that thriller comeback for Argentina, scoring in the 82nd minute, just after Romero's 79th-min goal and before Enzo capped it all off with a goal in 90+2, preventing Egypt from making a near-miracle win. We face Switzerland next after the Swiss eliminated Colombia in a penalty shootout.

Speaking about Messi (yes, I'm a big fan of "La Pulga" himself), this facial expression of his is hilarious. It is kinda funny looking at Messi doing a blep while he's surveying on the pitch. Man, I need to find some more funny Messi images, they make my day.

It looks good going forward. The only dull teams are the Swiss and at times, Spain. Argentina and England can be the villains, though France can be slotted in for England depending on your family history. Norway and Morocco are the feel good small countries. Belgium have done what was needed and are now, sadly disposable.

If I were Infantino I'd fix it differently so Morocco didn't have to face France. I think that on a good day, France can beat anyone remaining. Some good teams have had some bad days in this tournament though, so it's hard to predict. I'll be surprised if the Spain and Swiss games are great watching.

Yeah. Now onto funny moments of the World Cup (just curious), what was the funniest player moment of the tournament you have watched?

I haven't laughed at much in games. Some of the memes and AI vids created after games have been very funny. There were some good Haaland ones. The FIFA scandal ones were sometimes clever.

I liked the Scots-storm in the eastern US, and the Norwegian rowing has been fun to see. The fans have been a big part of the show.

I have not paid attention to the World Cup since i worked in Saudi Arabia, That was one of the years when they had the tournament. I had to rearrange the work schedules of my international worked force so they could watch their country play. I did not care bout it all but they sure did.

Although I played some "soccer" in high school, I never liked watching the sport. And the fans usually behaved pretty poorly as well. I actually watched a lot of the USA - Belgium game but nothing else. I do not care who wins. Besides, USA men's soccer has been pretty bad until this year. I have watch the women's team which won a lot more until this past year.

I also played hockey for 2 years in high school and I never watched professions or even college hockey in the years since then. Hockey is hard to watch on TV, it is an in person game and I never went to any of them.
