5x2x2 for the footprint as mentioned. A tank that volume i'd have for slightly bigger fish, and a 1.5" wide wouldnt really allow me that realisticly.

Probably the 5x2x2 , always think bigger the footprint the better, what are you thinking of keeping in it ?

to be honest i dont really think theres muh in it in terms of footprint. the 5 is a foot shorter and only 6 inches wider. probably malawis , maybe a planted community

i just remesured it and it is 20" not 1.5, but not at all, i find it easyer to walk around in my dining room

if max fish size is gonna br 6" i personaly would go for the extra foot! if it was between 6x2x2 and 5x2x2 then it would be a no brainer!

and i agree on the footprint point

i think the extra 6" front to back is only really important if you plan on keeping big fish , and to be honest im bored of big fish , i orefer lots of smaller fish these days for more diversity. and you can get the 6 footer 100 quid cheaper than the 5x2x2

i like the look of my tank, which is long and slim. i think those shaped tanks look great, bit more interesting to look at than your 'usual' rectangular tank.
