Hey folks - I could use a second opinion or three I'm just not sure what my pH is! Thanks!

You need to put a picture up with the vial against the white of the card. But from that pic it looks like pH 8.0.

Hey that is the color of my beaker too! I think that is a 8.0 also... though you need to put it up on the white of the card and then take a pic.

Looks to be somewhere in the 7.8 to 8.0 region to me. It's impossible to say which with it not being on a white background.

Thanks everyone, sorry for the delay I had to run the test again

It is looking like 8.0 - should I be concerned with my current stocking I know some people think fish adapt and some think you should only keep fish at their ideal pH - what you you guys think?

In case you can't see my signature I've got 1 male betta, 6 hengeli rasbora (exact variety is up for debate currently lol), 3 sterbai cory

Tap water is looking like 7.8

Nah, I have been told its not such a big deal. There are ways I guess to adjust the pH... either chemically ( which even I would not recommend ) or using some kind of filtered water. Plus factor in buffers and all that fun stuff... at least for me its not worth the hassle. Though I do plan on getting a RO unit sometime soon but that is just me )

It is a nice solid 8.0 IMO. It should be great livebearer water but some things like neons and angels may not appreciate it.

Thanks OldMan47 - I was hoping to get cardinal tetras when I upgrade, do you think this is a bad idea?
