What Model Is This Tank.

Well the bugs bitten hard!
That's me been keeping fish for 3 months and I'm now getting a bigger tank!
Pick it up tomorrow, the current owner describes it as 100cm by 40cm and Jewel.
Anyone have any ideas, I'm pretty happy with it and got what I believe for a good price!

Looks like an old juwel rio 180 to me.

Nice looking tank and stand. I kind of like how those stands emphasize the tank (although I'm sure there'd be times when you long for more room in the cabinet.) I can see that with black background, black substrate, lots of plants and the light on in the evening.. the focus would all be on the display.

The old filters only there to help introduce decent mature bacteria into the new filter sponges.

Great photos, running the old filter along side the new one will work but it may have looked a bit more appealing if you tried to put some of the old filter's media into the new one.

Yeh, 3 kissers in there, the air curtain doesn't run all the time, usually keep it on the low setting so that there is maybe only half that amount.
I like 'em tho! The heater has packed in so the old one is in but it's too small so need to get to the LFS and get a new one.

Really happy with it on the whole tho.

Just to add that in B C M's other thread, the tank has been identified as a Rekord 120 not a Rio 180. So it's 120 litres not 180.

Yes you put it on the outside. I have used baby oil, cooking oil even expensive backing gel (basicly baby oil with no perfume). I always get it slightly wrong & resort to duck tape.
