What Is The Top 10 Hardiest Fish?- Jazz- Help

Well, I have had Harlequin Rasboras in my community tank ever since I started 6 years ago.......not lost one ever!

Oh, perhaps I shouldn't have said that considering their age.....probably loose them all in one go!

harlequin rasboras and white cloud mountain minnows i would say are pretty tough little fishies
my oldest white clouds are 4 years old and still breeding

thanks, its coz my fish just keep on getting virus/ bad bacterial infections, my water quality is spot on, i dont know wha im doing wrong, but dont want to quit fishkeeping- i was thinking of tiger barbs as they are pretty hardy

IME WCMM, Neons/Cardinals, Guppies (Home bred 1's anyway), BN pleco's (had my pair 8 years before they died, 2 of my very first fish) have been the fish i have had live longest and had little problems with

white clouds and zebra danios...

also the common pleco is pretty hard to kill

i managed it when the temp hit 10 degrees c

If they are getting ill then there is a problem getting hardier fish will simply mean they live longer in pain or discomfort
so lets try and sort theese problems properly and permently. :good:

has it got a tight lid?- dont know what you mean- its the standard jewel hood, not tight to the glass but it fits

be great if you could help

The tank sounds way over stocked to me...even without those few that are now in the biorb.

If there is overcrowding the fish will get stressed - stress = illness

Re your tank stats - unusual to have 0 reading for nitrate usually.

Have probably asked you this before but what testing kit are you using and how old is it?

thanks for help athena, not unusual to have 0 for nitrate- im using the API freshwater master test kit. the fish are all small including the rainbows, just nearly 2 inches, add it all up its only a little over stocked, and, there is plenty of space for swimming and if water stats are fine, how are they getting diseases
