What are you doing today?

What is the lifespan of Rams under ideal tank conditions?
I’ve had Rams several times over the years as they are a favorite of mine and as I recall they last about two years . If you haven’t had them you owe it to yourself to give them a whirl . Now I’m thinking it’s time to have them again . It’s been far too long since I’ve had any cichlids .

I got paid to go bowling today. For real. One of my schools took us up to Dubois, where they have a fancy bowling alley, and let us bowl for a couple hours as a team-builder. It was fun, but weirdly exhausting being in close proximity to a lot of very talkative humanity for a very long time.

Now I'm chilling with the family, air-frying some fish and chips, maybe watching a little TV. I let my 17 year old Badgerling read the prologue and first two chapters of the historical fiction book I'm writing, and she is already clamoring for more. So far, so good.

Ambitious. What is the historical topic you are writing about?

Well, to mellow out, we made the mistake of watching the S4E2 of "Strange New Worlds." Utterly creepy, and really gross. We had to watch several klipspringer videos on YouTube to cleanse ourselves.

Taking time off from fish until feeding time later today……and…….I’m off to a big car show in my 1980 Datsun 280ZX. :yahoo:
Did you enter the show? I have not entered any shows but gone to many this year.
I'll do a visit to the British car meet today at the Saratoga Auto Museum with my Prowler.
I don't have a British car, but the museum is very close to me so I go every weekend they have a meet/show.
I have gone to every car show this year at the park and a corvette poker run.
Top down weather is seemingly passing quickly.

The ice man. That has potential, especially given your skillset with slighty out of date weaponry for hunting. I'll buy it!
It's fun writing about those ancient skills. I'm no expert in primitive fire building or hide tanning or similar, but I've dabbled in them just enough to be able to write about someone who is. I'm really enjoying the research aspect of this. Otzi the Iceman is an extremely enigmatic person; there are so many things we know about him through scientific research that just don't add up or make sense. I am attempting to craft a story that accounts for all of these enigmas, while still being a good, believable, naturally flowing story with characters that I care about. What fun!

Unfortunately I am working until 1:30 ish (whenever last patient is done). Fortunately it's a relatively short day and it is also time/.5

After work (and when I get home) Sis and I will be going to Sooshibay; a rotating Japanese sushi and ramen restaurant, my treat:)🪿

Yes. I am registered. I am participant #2 at this show of over 120 cars. Later on they do the awards and cars are still pouring in atm.

Are you talking about that guy that was found very nearly perfectly preserved in ice they found in the Alps ? I saw a show on PBS about that . They made a perfect replica of him to study so that they didn’t have to expose the original to air too often . I was , and still am , absolutely amazed at that find . I think they also found what may be George Mallory’s remains from 1924 on Mt. Everest . That would be interesting but it does also fall into the category of grave robbing in my opinion .

Yep, that's the one.

I'm spending the whole of my weekend and half of next week sort of ignoring all of my 4 year old Autistic grandson's bad behaviour.

This follows me making the mistake of allowing both my husband, daughter and grandson to go off on two weeks holiday without me, as I was not feeling too good due to longstanding health issues.

The two weeks holiday spread into three weeks, so it's now Nanny's job to get him back to behaving somewhere near to his own particular normal values before school recommences in two weeks time.

Oh well, if this is the punishment I must endure for a whole 3 weeks at home on my lonesome researching fish and in order to set up my aquarium, it is a price worth paying in my opinion. Roll on Wednesday when I will be taking him back to his own house, with a bit of luck and a following wind.
