seems kind of lacking in some of the color a blue acara is known for. could be it a hybrid of some sort? i almost though jack dempsey but the face/jaw is not right for it. Or is could very well be a blue acara that is not showing full color at this time. How big is the fish?
hi guys,
thanx for the info,, the pictures are actually 2 different fish
they were bought from Maidenhead Aquatics "st albans" and they had a whole tank full. or ruffely the same colour aswell
the fish are a fair size and getting on now,, good solid chunky 3/4 "
In the photos the dorsal fin seems to have a white edge to it rather than a gold one. So I would guess Aequidens Coerlicpuntatus but not 100% on it it could be A.Pulcher.
They look a little stressed atm so give them a few days to settle down and they will be easier to ID.
