Why did I pick these three pairs in particular? Because I intend to pool the fry together in the same tank, and they'll be easy to tell apart!

great idea, really nice bettas should get some really nice fry

good luck, that 3rd pair will be interesting, my short body was shiped yesterday! and my dtpks loook like there ready toi go only fter a week... but im not going to chance it.

Ooh... if these spawns go well, I think I got an idea we're I'm gonna get quite a few bettas... :hey:

Just a thought, surely by pooling the fry from the albino's siblings, that will really decrease the chances of getting any? I would assume you are gonig to take out the albinos before you pool them, but if any get missed or the theory that you should be able to tell them apart doesn't work, you'll probably get far less.

Cool, cant wait to see the outcomes, how did it go?

I honestly can't see how putting fry together would result in less albinos... :/ the fish are the fish even if you pool the fry. I don't get it.

I mean that any albions in the fry when they ar epooled will probably die from competition for food and possibly predation.

I'm guessing that a larger number of fry, and therefore more competition for food and stuff, would mean a lesser chance of survival for any albinos, because of their tendencies for having bad eyesight and whatnot.

Aw ya beat me.. dang dialup connection...

Oh, I understand now. It just sounded weird to me, like you were saying that albinism is anti-contagious (being around normal fish for too long makes you not-albino) or something

I guess the solution is to make sure the food is plentiful, so that even the albinos won't starve?
