I am a member of yahoo answers of Australia. I was browsing answers this morning and found this:

This is disgusting. If you read the additional details he threatens to buy more gold fish to spite the sensible ones answering his question.
Am I the only one who finds this sad?

Sometimes they're just trolls, sometimes they're just ignorant, or plain stupid.
 
He needs reporting, partly for the animal abuse, partly for threatening to report people for giving him advice, which sadly is probably more likely to get a response from Yahoo than the first bit.

I have reported him for offensive language, wrongful reporting and abuse of answered and advisers. Honestly, I'm very close to exploding at him. I barely care if I get banned. But there are dedicated fish keepers on that site and I think that they deserve better than this troll. I hope he's trolling for the fishs sake.

There needs to be more people like you 2. You clearly care enough to respond swiftly to this topic. Thanx. Nice to know that I'm not the only one with a heart and brain.

I'm really pleased to see you've reported him. Its sickening. I just keep thinking about how those poor fish feel. He obviously realises hes going to get a backlash for that post, hes wanting to get a rise. DIsgusting, just disgusting!

He's a troll.  Don't get drawn in.  You can't change peoples minds who think like that, he knows its wrong and he doesn't care.  Just report him, preferably to whatever animal welfare organisation you have in Oz.

Depends how strong your animal protection laws for fish are, the RSPCA are always limited by the law.  I'm not sure they could do anything about an internet post anyway.  You could contact them and ask if you like.

Is keeping Boesmani rainboews in a 200L 39 Inch tank Cruel, I keep getting different advice.  I'd like 10 but would go down to 6.  Or do I need to resort to a different species?

I'd say a 10 is doable but it would just about fully stock your tank.

Boesman's Rainbowfish can grow up to 5 inches in length and a tank size of at least 4 feet is generally recommended for them. Your tank is just over 3 foot long so it's a little small. You want at least 6 in a shoal really so I'd be reluctant to say you'd be ok.

Have you thought about the dwarf rainbowfish? They can look just as nice but are a fair bit smaller. You can also keep them in larger numbers too.

Sorry I seemed to have Hijacked your thread, but the topic is still the same.  I want to prevent cruelty so if I can get the correct fish before stocking then we should be happy.
 
 
Also I have a red tailed black shark (which will be the only other fish in my tank) so was a bit reluctant to put him in with dwarf neons or will he be ok?
