Think I Made Big Mistake

Hey all,

set up a fluval 205 external filter today and its been running ok apart from every now and then there is a sudden burst of bubbles coming from the out pump. It makes a real whooshing noise.

Have i messed it up? Really worried its going to start leaking or something

take it apart, clean it, put it back together and see if that fixes it

That would make it worse.

It still just has air trapped in it. Gently rock it side to side to speed things up, or just leave it a day.

it has an air bubble in it... this is a common problem

Its fine, just air escaping... Nothing to worry about and it will sort itself out if you leave it for a day or two.
