Looks a bit rainy 40% chance of isolated t-storms after 4 and 30% after 1. Were going anyways though because they prolly won't happen til lateish. Park closing at 7 opens af 10:30. Were leaving round 9:30.

Hey Lovelies!

Nice plants, Ruskull. That pleco always seems to pop out. X))

@FF: I always fear eating stuff past expiry date, from eggs to meat, although not plants, I can tell if a plant is rotting. My dad always eats stuff past expiry date and has no problem with it, but TWICE I ate some pork that sent me to the hospital each time, yet my dad had no problem with it. o_O
However, for the fish food, it might just be that the nutrients might no longer all be there and no harm done to the fish. Though freezing probably holds them in longer.
Ew I was talkign about dry pantry goods. NOT MEATS and things. Like rice or cereals.

Well, those usually last a lot longer indeed. As long as they have no mold on them, they're good.

How are the fry doing FB & FF?
Zombie and its other sibling seem ok (though it's so hard to tell if Zombie has a hunched back or it's the effect of his silver belly), they're eating along with Sushi and Ninja.
But the ones in the bowl are pretty much in the same state.
One with an S-curved tail seems to be able to take off a bit, but he rests a lot on the floor.
Other ones that don't seem to have any spine errors, just cannot swim properly. They whirl every time they try.
The ones with curved tails still cannot lift off.
The eggs with eyes turned white. No idea if they're dead or not...

Doing good actually, though I am not holding out hope since I am about to copper the tank. Theres at least 20 of them though.

Can't you move them to a 10 gallon with the mom?

And FishBlast, I have a handicapped fish myself, a Von Rio that has a messed up bottom lip & he swims at a 45 degree angle with his nose in the air. He still eats though & doesn't appear to be in pain or anything, so I let him live. I think the other Tetras are afraid of him since he almost looks like he doing the mating dance.

LOL Tetra doing mating dance. Male tetras are like "Whoa! Watch your backs, here he comes!" X)))
I think Zombie's pretty much normal, it's just the way he sits while at the surface, along with his silver belly, that make him look like a comma.

They were exposed though, I have to treat them regardless.

Velvet right? I know nothing of that so I'm sure you have more knowledge than I do. Carry on then..........

FishBlast, that's the way that one Von Rio came from the store. I would've brought him back but I thought he was just displaying for the ladies. When I saw him swimming like that in the dark when the tank was sleeping is when I realized he was "special." Now I don't have the heart to take him out as long as he's eating and he's usually the first in line at feeding time. I named him "Skippy" for obvious reasons. Maybe I can post a short video later............

One of my pink jewel tetras has swim bladder disease and is constantly swimming upwards. He eats fine, and even displays for da laydees and fights other males. My dad calls him "tardo"

One of my albino cories is deformed a little on its side, but it functions fine and is growing at the same rate of the others.

LOL, that's funny but I feel bad for being amused.

Is that what it is? How do fish get that anyway? Skippy is a tough SOB too, he doesn't take crap from any of the Tetras or Barbs, even he moves out of the Gouramis way.......his bottom lip sticks out too, reminds me of Billy Bob Thorton in Slingblade.

Hey FF,

LOL

Well, Zombie's here to stay. I don't know about the S-shaped tail fry from the bowl though... he seems to be struggling too much. And the others are struggling WAAAY too much, they act like their brain is severely damaged. The curved tails look like little seahorses. That's how their tails are curled, under them. o_O

Waiting for vid if you post it.

I haven't even taken the video yet FB, I'm at work. I'll have to take the video, download a short bit to Photobucket, & then try to post a clickable link. Sounds like a lot of work that will require some lager fuel...........FRIDAY NIGHT MEDS ANYONE?!
