My new assassin snail is quite the speed demon....for a whelk. He's already gobbled down two snails and part of a mysis shrimp

Hey Lovelies!!!

I lost my female guppy who had fry last week.. She went and disappeared.. I also has an empty apple snail shell.. Also four oto cats and one cory cat went missing..

I has five ammano skrimps in my tank.. Is it possible they're killing these, or eating their dead bodies at night??
I lost 3 of my 6 oto cats within a fortnight of getting them. Never saw the bodies, they just vanished. Have assumed the other fish were hungry!

plant!! lol

FB, even if food expires there is no reason not to use it. I often use dried goods past their expiration dates with no harm and my fish will only eat slightly better then my family :p I am very careful with the dates around dairy products, but even canned goods will stay fine for a few years.

Most of the dates say BEST used by:

My crypts started their major melt down about 48 hours after planting. I've only got a few leaves left. The plants are still good though. Did a big trim today. Have about a golf ball size of java moss. Thinking about a moss wall for my betta tank.

Awesome Ruskull! I knew it was a much better deal. I only had like 5 extra crypts. Did you cut the roots down? It will promote growth. I dunno how she even pulled those plants, they were rooted in like they thought they were staying. :p

Goodluck with the melt as well. All of the crypts are in major melt right now, I am cutting away dead leaves everyday and doing extra water changes.

The 2 original Crypts that I bought from the local fish store are doing well, only lost 1 leaf on one, and two on the other.

I just checked all 3 tanks & all plants look great so far but it's only been 24 hours or so. After I loaded the plants & dosed them all with Aqueon Plant food that is supposed to be the same as the more expensive Seachem Flourish. I got the shampoo size bottle for $10. I will learn to powder eventually but it's a start. All tanks have great lighting so that should not be a problem.

I'll post some pics.....

FishBlast & Crossfire...........proof that Life's Manager put crazy folks on at least 2 separate continents.
*starts going philosophical*
Hmm... just what is the limit for someone to be considered crazy?
Is it that what is normal to some, may seem crazy to others?
What and how does a person who is totally insane think?

Hey lovelies!!!!!!

Going to white water tomorrow!!!! I'm sooooo excited!!!! I'm going to get a flash pass. It's a system that let's you skip lines. You get a water proof wrist watch, that you scan at various locations around the park. You pick what ride you want and it says for example, 20 minute wait. After 20 minutes of doing whatever say, another ride, the watch beeps and you can go skip the line on the ride you picked, and go as much as you like. Fun!!!!!

Flash passes kick butt!!!!!!!! Only Sea World here is better because the passes are unlimited and timeless so you can ride and run back up, over and over and over all day. The only problem is that there's hardly any rides there. But it's still awesome cause of all the water attractions. We go every year. Military gets in free once a year. :kana:

My sons room is so full of the game prize stuffies :p

Have fun then :)

And Ruskull, no worries on the melt. Just keep on top of it when it starts. I had a bit of nitrite show up in my Betta tank. Now I am making sure to strip melt when I see it. The good thing is crypts can be stripped down to nothing and will become a bushy beauty within months.

My friend has a little brother with mild Asperger Syndrome, so when a couple of friends and I went with her to King's Dominion for her birthday, she took her little bro so we could get a handicapped pass, and we skipped all the lines! Sometimes the same ride over and over! Boy, have you never seen angrier faces

lol @ handicapped friends. I mean that in truth and sympathy and joy and wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo this ride was fun. My hubbs had handicappped parking after surgery and we had funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn in DALLAS!

Hey Lovelies!

Nice plants, Ruskull. That pleco always seems to pop out. X))

@FF: I always fear eating stuff past expiry date, from eggs to meat, although not plants, I can tell if a plant is rotting. My dad always eats stuff past expiry date and has no problem with it, but TWICE I ate some pork that sent me to the hospital each time, yet my dad had no problem with it. o_O
However, for the fish food, it might just be that the nutrients might no longer all be there and no harm done to the fish. Though freezing probably holds them in longer.

Thanks guys, it took hours. Have fun at the water park MoF.............
