things like this just rattle my cage

Mark, if you never start , you'll never get experience right? So if nothing else, this will be an experience for the younger members of the staff, and probably even the older ones as well.

Everyone has to start somewhere :)

P.T.

As said to you before smurfy the way you answer things just shows your immaturity. As i said before i belive that all the younger guys on here would find it much more benificial to them selves to concentrate on schooling and not this news letter as it will be very time consuming and i just think your future is more important than a newsletter now i never once said your age is far to young because you wont be able to do the job i said your to young as you have a lot of school work to be doing now if you want to ignor me then fine and as i said i hope it works out but i woulf prioritise the work load. Now as i said to you before mate i have no time to write for a letter yes i could do it and for your infomation i do have a clue what will be being discussed in the other forum as i am quiet intellectual but i was going to put my name down to help with it but as i said i prioritised with 1. the fact im married with my wife due to give birth to my 2nd child in august 2. my little boy starting school 3. the fact im in the army serving over here im far to busy and you have to look at work loads so my suggestion to you is pick you teddies up put them back in your pram and actually think im i flaming your or just looking out for you??????

i just dont like th fact that you think we are all too young you keep saying you are looking out for us and our school work when in fact i take my last exam tomorrow and ive left i would really like to stop arguing and just let this thread die

If you read properly my origional thread wasnt aimed at you it was aimed at all the younger guys on the newsletter team if anyone would think it was aimed at them it would be geox7 as i named him but i meant all of you. You may well be taking your last exam but others are not.

goex7 is 14 which if hes in the right age band at school he is in year nine and should have done his sats a while ago i cannot really speak for the rest though

look mate im not going to keep arguing but exams make up about 60% of your schooling you actually have to concentrate in school etc etc just because he has dones sats doesnt mean he can switch of till the next set of exams life doesnt work like that. This was my main reason i thought you should all concentrate on schooling instead of speding all your extra time on this

No point carrying on argument about this. Mark didnt mean anything bad but was expresssing he veiws and smurfy good luck in your physics exam tomorrow.

I can't speak for the guys currently doing exams (thank goodness it's been years since I've done mine) - but nothing can be so all consuming that every single waking minute of life is spent on exams. Everyone needs a break at some point and do something a bit more interesting to recharge those batteries - why not the newsletter? It really isn't even that time consuming even :)

Besides, summer holidays are coming up very soon isn't it ?
It's not up to us or anyone to parent the younger members of this board.

how the.. what ehh i didnt tell you it was physics
edit: taking the same exam i guess sneaky :sly:

we werent allowed to take drama or anything good for that matter

so who is in charge of the newsletter steelhealr or the actual team as the only person i have seen do anything is him and no one else also you have given out these job titles but do the people who have these jobs know what they mean i.e geox7 co chief publisher he hasnt even done his gcse`s so how on earth does he have experiance in doing this no offence mate but im looking out for you i would concentrate on your schooling and get good grades than spending all your spare time doing a newsletter its all about prioritising there are alot of older people on here that could do that btw im not jealous i dont have the time to do a job like that i just dont want to see these youngsters schooling go down hill i hope you can see where im coming from here.
well, i appreciate you looking out for me and all that  , and it shows you care. But the tff newsletter isnt going to take over my life, its just like another pastime. But saying that my schooling is going to go downhill is really overreacting in my opinion, I would never put the newsletter before my schoolwork, ESPECIALLY not my GCSEs. I'm in top set maths in my school and just to let everybody know, believe it or not (some people dont) i am actually doing my second GCSE module two years (or one year not sure) early on monday, and i have literally just got back from an after school revision session with my maths teacher, just so everybody doesnt defend me by saying im no where near my gcses, but thanks anyway lol. Practically everybody on here knows my age, so it's nothing new, and they obviously dont have a problem with it, ive had PMs asking "are you really 13?" then I say yes and then they say good luck with the newsletter. So mark, thanks for caring and stuff, and just to let you know i can put your mind at rest by saying that school work is way above the newsletter in terms of priority, but i would never have to choose between the two anyway because the newsletter isnt like a 9-5 job or anything. :good:

as the only person i have seen do anything

I agree that steelhealr has been a great help and we thank him for it, but there is a seperate forum where we are working 'behind the scenes' and i have to say that all the writers, graphic designers, editors etc have done a tremendous job in coming up with several articles already, a couple of which are completed with graphics and have been fully edited, so i think we know alot more than what the job titles mean.
:good:

Mark, I would let their own parents decide on how much time they spend studying for exams and how much time they spend on the newsletter. It is great that you are looking out for them with your best intentions, but I would realistically look at the situation and then decide if your input has any effect on how these kids spend their time and what their parents decide.

I dont mean to be harsh Mark.
