Looks really nice! Your idea of a 'tank of plant scraps' is pretty much my idea of a perfect planted tank

haha nice shrimp too !

Thanks, but these are not the plant scraps lol. I should have taken a picture of the "scrap look" but I didn't.  I actually used the scraps to plant out my 2L bottle for the sidebar competition :)

It's looking great greenmumma, I love those shrimp too! I've never had much luck with shrimp :(

I feel a future totm coming on? .......

Some of them have keeled over :/    I was silly and didn't even think about starting off with excel at full dose... and the rest are molting like crazy! but they're eating and active, so that's good.

When I get this set up the way I want, I'll def enter :hey:  And the plants are actually growing in this tank! Who would have thought.....

I have 3 teeny tiny baby angels!!! They're free swimming and cruisin around. They're pretty funny, I'll get a video later!!

Aww sounds super cute! Did you have any issus with the shrimp trying to eat the unhatched eggs?

Nope. Neocaridina won't eat fry eggs, that's why they're great for fry tanks. They will actually pick the fungus away from the eggs, and eat any dead eggs, but leave the good ones alone...

I was still a bit leery of this, have been watching and watching, and so far they're pretty awesome. They cleaned up all the gross fungus eggs, and my tiny angels can swim right up to them (they're very nosy) and the shrimp don't seem to mind at all. So far, it's a great combination :D

Just a heads up: a betta might eat baby shrimp.  I was considering the same stocking myself, but then realized if I want to breed, I think I'll pass on the betta.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I came to as well. I also thought that the eggs/fry might not be safe with a betta as well...  It's a bummer, but when I'm tired of raising fry then I'll just get a betta :)

Really nice setup! Love the choice of plants

Thanks!!! I'm dying to rescape this whole thing, I just haven't had the time and I'm trying to save some $$$ .... sigh lol.
