Lay the tank on it's side, spray with the vinegar, and let sit for several minutes before wiping down with a wet rag.

Is this glass or acrylic?
Vinegar always works great for me on ALL glass, not just aquariums

I believe its glass but after the vinegar wont work I dont know I'll be trying again tomorrow but if it doesn't work after that I'll have to try something else

put some paper towels on the glass and soak them with vinegar. leave the vinegar soaked paper towels on it overnight or longer and then use a single sided razorblade to scrape it off.

Ok I will try that but i dont have razor blades would a Stanley knife work just aswell

It would work fine, just be careful! Last year I ended up at Urgent Care after an incident with a stanley knife and some reluctant filter bracket suckers.

It looks OK - no carbon and just sponges as the media which is perfect. However I have not come across that brand before so I can't comment on its reliability.
