The Conversion Has Begun...

Sorry, here he is:

4 - "Hybrid Lombardoi"
3 - Labidocromis Caeruleus
3 - Metriaclima Callainos
3 - Alunacara (Sorry for the spelling  )
2 - Elongatus Mpanga
1 - Random

It just looks like a mish-mash to me

Thanks again,

Maximus

OK - i'd get another couple of labs, they do better in groups and 5 or 6 is ideal.

Some more pics of the "hybrid Lombardoi" would be good to get a proper id.

Are you planning to get any bottom-feeders? If so now would be a good time to add them before the Mbuna get too settled. Bristlenose Plecs and most Synodontis catfish species tend to work well.

Other than adding some catfish - i would let things settle for a while. You don't want to completely fill your tank now and find that you haven't got any room for a species you've just discovered and want to have. Everyone seems to do that with Mbuna - fill up the tank and then realise there are lots of unusual species that they can get hold of and want to keep.

Cheers Ferris :good:

Thats all I wanted to do actually,

Get 2 more labs, and about 3 synos, unsure of what type yet tho

Then, after a while, have a look at some different sp. online and get to work on the
Hardys order list :p

Thanks again dude,

Maximus

i personaly like Synodontis eupterus for catfish also known as the featherfin cat

and a picture would deffinently help with the true identity of the "hybrid Lombardoi"

and 5-6 yellow labs would be perfict. i wouldent add anymore fish atm becuase you never know what might happen to pop up like ferris said

Wow, thanks for the suggestions guys :good:

I'm gonna have a look online and see what catches my eye

I do like the look of that Synodontis eupterus tho...

I'll try and get a photo of the hybrids tonight B)

Thanks again dudes,

Hope they show up good enough, cos they were taken with my phone :shifty:

Thanks again,

looks like they are just changing colour but i could be wromg

Do you just state the obvions and agree with what ever is said????

They have the colours of lombardois changing but the body shape is not right could be a very poor strain. Lombardoi should have 5 black unbroken bars those are kinda messed up.

They are certainly not Afra - the stripes are all wrong. That stripe pattern is pretty much exclusive to Lombardoi. If they are true Lombardoi - then you have 3 males and that could be problematic, of course they could just be hybrids - only time will tell.

If they progressively lose the blue and start becoming all yellow - then you have Lombardoi. :good:

Thanks alot guys :good:

How long will it take for them to change? (If they do)

Oh Ferris, How did you sex them?

Because I have 4 but, these aren't all 4, some are the same.

I'll have to do it myself, If I can

Cheers dudes,

Maximus
