yer i could do that, that would see me ditching 4 black course pads in total though and a whole tray is quite a bit of space to fill! Doesnt take long to pick off the floss, im just moaning for the sake of moaning :D The main prob i have are small particles in the water which im 99% sure are pieces of floss, as my filters have very mature media in them now, so cant be bacterial.

Is it lumps of floss your seeing or just fibres? If it Looks like fibres, take a closer look, it could be planaria.
 
na its not planaria, 100% sure of that :) its not bad, its just not crystal clear, which i aim for, because im anal

yeah it probably is, i noticed that too...i'm wondering if normal cotton wool i wipe my babys backside with would do the job too? :D
