Just cleaned my tetratec ex1200 and now the syphon button is stuck completely down. what do I do? will it still work properly?
Thanks.

You should have filled it with water first. It has kind of created a vacuum I bet and will come up if you wiggle it and twist it.

+1, Its just an airlock inside. Try locking off just the outlet pipe, and undoing flaps on the side to let the air pressure out, and water should take its place. Would recommend standing it in a bucket while doing so, might leak out of the side a little.

It was a little airlock. Wobbling the filter shot the air out the outlet pipe and the button came back up.

Thanks Guys.

The tetra is unbreakable, if a nuclear bomb hit us the only things to survive would be: Tetratec Ex1200, cockroach's and of course windows XP :p

mine was stuck down ther day, seemed to be working ok though, i just ignored it :D due a clean tonight, this crappy pond filter wool is annoying me though, seems to break down and stick to the course sponges, might have to get some propper ones :( £££££ :(

the floss is already the last bit that goes in, its crap though :|

No, what I mean you C.A is move the black pad down the order to another tray or even remove it altogether and just fill the top tray with floss then it can't stick to anything.

BBA, 5 pads for £8 or 5 meters for £7... :p

yer i could do that, that would see me ditching 4 black course pads in total though and a whole tray is quite a bit of space to fill! Doesnt take long to pick off the floss, im just moaning for the sake of moaning :D The main prob i have are small particles in the water which im 99% sure are pieces of floss, as my filters have very mature media in them now, so cant be bacterial.

If it is the same stuff as i bought then you must have a dodgey batch as mine is fine mate. :/
