Somebody Identify Me This Fish Please

It's a ram Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, otherwise known as blue ram or German blue (the best ones came from Germany for a long time).

Needs very warm (around 28°C/82°F) very clean, soft water that's low in nitrate.

I have to say, yours dosn't look very happy. Do you know what's picking on it/nipping it's tail? What other fish do you have in the tank?

4 tetras
1 platy
And a red fin shark
Iv had it only a few day an by the looks of it i haven't seen anything pickin at him

How big is your tank and what species of tetra are they?

160 liter, and I crnt remember but they are a peaceful community ones

Hmm, well, they're certainly not happy rams, I'm afraid to say. Many so-called 'peaceful' tetras (even neons) can be nippy if in a too small shoal. Can you get a pic of them?

What are your water stats and how long has the tank been running?

The red-tail black shark could be nipping at them.
Also just some advice, clown loaches need 75 gallon tanks (around 280-300 liters) and a group of 6 and you need to up your tetras to 6

I believe those are a species of harlequin but im not sure which one

I know some one with a 500 liter tank, so when they get bigger I can give them to them, and ok thank you for the advice

And would firemouth or oscers be suitable for this tank?

Ok but I'd only keep them until they get to about 4-5 inches or maybe 6 because they might start becoming stunted at that size. Also they will need 4 more friends.

No to your second question. The fm may eat the harlequins and bully others and oscars need 75 gallons or larger for a single specimen.

Yeah but depends on species.

Clown loaches actually need a 6 foot tank to have a good shoal that they like. I personally wouldnt have a shoal in anything less that 150g. They are a rather large chunky fish when they are adults topping out at over a foot long.
