Some Ideas Please New Tank

Yeah i brought it in a shop i know its cheaper online but ive been payed and cant get my tank up and running yet and just wanted to get some thing as its starting to bug me that i have a tank ready to set up but have to wait till the carpets done so as soon as the last bit is layed on friday i shall be filling up an getting plans, i shall up load photos once ive got something done as my Miss's has no interest at all so i may as well show some people that have some kinda interest

one more thing what are peoples opinion on buying fish online to be delivered, I'd never thought about it before

plenty of people do it with great success others have troubles with delivery and dead fish... if you can id look into asking your LFS to special order stock in for you if they can?

There are two places near me so i think i shall just get them from the shops as i dont fancy the idea of Fish in the post

Well the tank is in place and filled up with and planted, now the waiting game begins, i'll post some photos when i get a chance

Not the greatest photo as i cant seem to find the right lense for my camera and the telephoto one thats on there aint really much use so camera phone is as good as its getting for a while

Im not to sure why but the waters lookin a cloudy but im not sure why the gravel got a good good wash

oh and the random thing ontop of the wood is just there to hold it down as it decided that it was goin to float and the three plants on the left are for my brothers tank altho i may get some more and plan something on that side too

Yeah, i liked the wood too there was a few bits in the shop when i went looking adn that bit really stood out, cost 33 quid tho but worth it

Well i decided to do a large water change as the water wasn't starting to clear after 24 hours and it seems to have done the trick, so im pretty sure i must of done a crappy job cleaning the gravel, and i also changed one of the Tubes in the light as i found one floating around in my van, so now im happy just looking forward to getting fish in there once its all ready to go, one thing i dont think ive mentioned so far was what i payed for the tank with the filter and heater any what no it was sold at the bargain price of £50

That wood has got to be one of the best pieces I have seen lately, I bought a similar looking piece but it was mostly vertically instead of horizontal.

If you have a bit of filter floss you can bung that in as the final stage of filtration to "polish" the water and it will hopefully catch the silt and other particles from the water.

The waters will nice and clear no so thats that one sorted, Now for the fish im not sure how many of each or exactly what im going to get but Ive got time to work it out, so how many of each would people suggest or any other fish that could go well
but these are the fish i do like
Red Tail Shark

Cardinal Tetras

Silver Dollars (but only if someone knows how to stop them eating every plant in the tank like the last two i had

Honey Dwarf Gourami

Glass Catfish

kuhli loaches

Ember tetras

Rummy Nose Tetras

bleeding heart tetra

I dont wannt have all these fish in the tank but a mix of a few
