Schottayb's Juwel Trigon 190

Just probably best to just use a bit of fert, that one I mentioned, otherwise it all gets a bit confusing and high tech. I just put some API Root Tabs in my sand, still waiting on the results, but im sure my Vallis is growing (or im just mental and am seeing things haha) im measuring it against a piece of blu tack that was left on the wall behind the tank LOL

Yeah Sagittaria Subulata, (can get it on ebay) is great for that, plus you always get a mix of sizes, so you could use the taller and shorter ones as you wish

I'll give this a go. I don't want to get confused and high-tec . I used to have some API Root Tabs never. Never used one as I didn't have a planted tank back then so I threw them away argh!

nice tank love your angel fish they look great :good:

Thanks mate :)

Got a few more plants today woo :D

Guess what this means then... more pics needed!!

I think your angel and first Bolivian Ram pictures deserve to be entered into fish of the month. The Angel is awesome!!

I'm getting a few more plants tomorrow and I might try make another coconut cave ;-) lol. Then I'll post some pictures! Got a few plants of Cazzie yesterday too (thank you!).

Want to get a couple more fish tomorrow too but undecided on what ATM lol.

Welcome :) pictures now! :p

Beautiful setup and selection of fish. So much so that I think I'll have to pinch your ideas
I've 5 Angels in my 5 footer and didn't know what to put with them to beef up the tank, I've been toying with the idea of Bolivians for a while now, but I never even considered Keyhole Cichlids. I take it they'd all be fine together in a community tank of such size? They look a treat! (presuming I can find an LFS that sells them)

Keyholes are usually very mellow adults. Sounds like a plan to me. :good:

Thanks for your comment, means a lot to know others like the tank! :). I have more plants arriving soon thanks to Ian on here! :good:

My Bolivians and Keyholes get on fine with the Angels, never any fighting breaking out between them all. I have to say Thank You to mint for the suggestion of fish for my tank :good:.

Not much to update yet apart from the Rams and Keyholes getting a little bigger !

Also got a few plants coming Friday hopefuly from ianho :good: so once they are in I will snap a few more pictures up! Thought I would upload a few crappy, blured pictures taken yesterday. Plants 'SEEM' to be getting on better now they have been in a while. Need to trim a few just scared they will never re-grow .

Thought i'd share a mix of the Rams, Keyholes & Angels: (and any other random fish that got in the way!)

I'm not that good . I suppose they don't go brown and die so thats good! Just grow rather slow, but I suppose thats good for low maintenance :good: ;)
Thats all they were though mate, suggestions. I have no experience of them.

You watch now, these HRP's you 'suggest' will destory my tank!!

The will be fine mate... But they will be boss so don't be shocked!

They will dominate the tank!?
