Now that I am down to 4 older platy fry in my 30L I am ready to move them over to the larger tank and the original plan was to replace these with a betta.
Haven't really thought about it much lately until today we saw what we initially thought was a jet black specimen. When we looked closer he was indeed as black as could be, but also had a velvet quality that revealed a deep red shean at certain angles! A nice little touch was white tipped front fins (the two long ones below front end).
Hehe we were so tempted but I felt I needed to be sure we were ready for a betta so came home.
LFS wanted £19 for him and not sure if this is a good deal or not?
Also would a (mature) UGF be suitable for a betta?
Olly.

Any idea what tail type he was? Because that could be whats making the price higher. Also, I know there are nice ones on ebay etc.....but you would end up spending that much anyway with the postage.
I think they were £12 each and were a little too big for my liking but certainly quite striking! I think I could have easily spent some serious cash today!
