Sad Day

What a sad sad day it has been. My wife and I have to move due to being laid off (again.) The place we are moving to doesn't allow any pets, fish included. So I broke down the fish tank and took it to my LFS. The owner is a friend of mine and agreed to sell it on consignment.. He priced the tank at $500 for a black 72 gallon tank, stand, 3 filters and everything else you need.

I just hope that whoever gets it takes care of it and has the same luck as I have had with it. This laves me with no tanks left (for the time being anyway.)

All I have to say is that I will sorely miss my tank and fish.

Thanks for the kind comments. The house is so quiet now that there are no hob filters and the tank is out of here.

I think next time I'm going to keep some small species of rainbow, probably Melanotaenia kamaka, in a 30 gallon tank.

I gave them to the shop that has the tank. At least I can go visit them

you should ask if they can "store" them for you until you can get them back, i would be real upset if i had to give up my fis and they remember me

sorry to hear that Robby. I can't beleive they don't let you keep fish! Its not as if they're gonna chew the cupboards. Come and live in England, they let you keep your fish when renting.

My old place allows fish, but the new one has just been remodeled and they don't want to take any chances. Only if there was another place that we could afford. This new place bases rent off of my income, and since the wife has been laid off, my small check doesn't go very far.
