I have a small tank that had 3 white cloud minnows. About a week after an algae outbreak I lost one of the little guys, and the other two seemed a bit offish for about 2 weeks, when one of them got dropsy. I moved it to a quarantine tank, where it has been for 1 week. I have been treated it with API Melafix and aquarium salts, and it has lost the bloating, although its scales are a little ragged now. It hasnt quite got all its colour back yet and is spending time resting near the top of the tank, however it seems to be increasing in energy and appetite, as it will eat small amounts of flake food and is swimming around a lot more. It's surviving tank buddy is still in the original tank and I treated it with some melafix and aquarium salts as a precaution, but it seems very healthy. I have moved the tank to a shadier spot and have hopefully fixed the water quality issues. When would it be safe to move the dropsy recovered minnow back to the tank?

Other than the minnows, the only other tank companion is a small sea snail.
