I just picked up my 40-gallon breeder from Petco and there are quite a few bits of silicone that almost look like scratches on the aquarium. Any ideas on how I could remove that?

Do you play Spoon (the band) so loud the silicone moves off the glass and huddles in the corners like it should?
That’s a band?? Lol
Yes you could

If it's between two sheets of glass squirt wd40 and Alcohol, and use a blade to cut the edges, slow job but it works. Just done this on my 60gal on the cross bars. Make sure you clean it well to remove wd40 before re siliconing.
