I have a 45 gal tank all water parameters are in check, but for the last 5 - 6 weeks I have been growing this awful looking red slime that covers pretty much all exposed surfaces in my tank. To describe it, it looks like thin red jello, it looks slimy and smooth. My tank is only about 4 months old, with 3 small fish, one cleaner shrimp, and 3 hermits. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Can you please help?

It's an algae growning, you need to kill it, use a good algae killing product from from any good shops.

U can use algae eating fish like pleco's and sucking loach, but i find if too to think then they will net eat it.

adding live plants will also help as they remove the nuterants the algae uses, but in both options u need to kill the algae first or it will just sit there for a long time to come.
