Purigen - How Much Is Needed?

Right, I am going to try out Seachem's Purigen filter media. Question is, How much is needed to fill 1/2 to 3/4 of a Tetratec EX1200 Basket?

I will be running the bottom of the tray in purigen, and the top part of the tray with a course sponge

Hi purigen isnt cheep but if you are useing it because you have plants & carbon cant be used then go for it but i would say a 500ml jar put in a stocking will be more than pleanty bit dont forget to rinse it before use & dony use it loose as it will be floating all round your tank.

A 100ML bag would be fine IMO,

I purchased a 500ML pot ages ago and have used it on 4 tanks and still have some left.
