Got back a couple of days ago (14th) from a 16ish day holiday in Thailand, where we spent 8 nights in Koh Samui, and me and my uncle went diving once (one trip, but two dives) at Sail Rock. Very good diving, have taken some photos from underwater there, but theyre not digital so ill have a go at taking photos of the photos abit later.
Here are a couple of photos of some cool frogs that lived in this large pond, which was also filled with loads of guppys, but they were abit to quick to take pics of:

We also saw a tomato frog which was really cool, but I didnt get a photo of them, cos we only saw the one...

Then we stayed in Koh Tao for 5 nights, that was really nice...Here is a couple of pics of the bay:

It was really nice there, the bay was just teeming with life...There were hundreds of sargent major fish, red breasted wrasses, coral and rock grouper (only the smaller ones though....), cleaner wrass, pink clowns, and brain corals, anenomes, blue clams and loads of other things...The fish life was just rediculas...Im getting an underwater case for my camera, so if we go again ill get a video of them all.
Here we did 3 dive trips (so 6 dives) and saw loads of very cool stuff. The best bits were: huge groupers at Chomporn, aswell as black tip reef sharks, and adult batfish, all at Chomporn pinnicle...(that was a really deep dive, 30m, so ive now done part of my advanced diving course.) We also saw yellow tail barracudas, blue spot stingrays (on two seperate dives), longfin banner fish (on most dives) and the worst things to meet underwater, Titan Triggerfish...Adult males too!! Scary stuff.
When we were at koh tao, we also got some pretty mad stuff in our room:

This little scorpion jumped on me while I was reading, thought it was a spider, but its has pincers and only 6 legs...

And this 10" bugger was keeping me awake all night, its a tokay gecko:

Hes behind the wardrobe so was hard to photograph...

We then went to bankok for two nights before the flight home. We did this river boat type thing, and saw loads of what I think were pagnisas catfish, all about 2-3 feet long outside this temple, and you could feed them, so they all came to the surrface and ate...I dont have pics of them at the moment, but I took some pictures on someone elses camera so they should get emailed to me soon. Also on the boat we saw two asian water monitors. If anyone knows much about them, they get to about 6 feet or so (and they were both 5-6 feet) and we saw one swimming next to the river bank, and another exiting on some man made stairs from the river...They were really cool.
Anyway, ill try and get some more photos uploaded aswell.

Sweet!
Looks like you had a good time then.
Cute little Tokay, too damn loud for their own good.
Get thoes photos uploaded.

nice photos, looks a lovely place, especially like the little tiny frog :)

Thanks for the replys. Yeah it was really good, couldnt get enough of it really, wanted to stay, which is hopefully why ill go out after my A levels to get my divemaster qualification (if I havent got it before) and work for one of the dive schools out there.

ok ok so you had a great time and you took some good pictures of bugs and things
what I want to know is where are the fish pictures and failing that where are the ones of all those sexy Thai girls?

Haha, knew someone would mention that. Its weird, you walk round with women and no-one offers anything, but jesus, when it would be just me and my uncle (who is who I dive with) then some of the offers haha...Walking down some of the streets in bangkok (ironic name isnt it?) you would get offers for "ping pong shows, only 100 baht". Ill let you work out what they do with the ping pong balls lol  . But 100 baht, is like £1.40 or so, it 68 baht per pound...
I did take some fish pictures, and a couple of videos, but they were pretty bad...By the way, these pictures really dont show the ammount of fish that are arround...There are, as you can see, quite a few fish in the water, but thats not cos Im feeding them or anything, and when you do feed them its just maddness!!! The food you can buy are pellets, and there are rafts (you can see em in some of the pics) just offshore (me and my uncle went about twice as far out as them on one occasion, saw some huge topdwellers, not sure if they were barras, or croc moiths, but their theeth were huge, and one of the ones we saw was about 3 feet long and was pretty pissed at us being there...) that you go out to and feed from there, and the ammount following you out to these rafts is just crazy...You could litterally scoop the water with your hand and hit a fish, easily.
Anway, here are a couple of fish pics, and one of the sea cucumbers, which were everywhere:

Aww I wish I could go there some day! I would get to see my reptiles in their natural enviroment (Asian/Chinese/Green waterdragons) But I dont think thats the same reptile you saw, as they dont grow that big.. did you get to see any waterdragons?

No I didnt no. There was a large (about 8") sandy colourd lizard who I saw scuttle very quickly accross from a rock he/she was basking on into some bushes, didnt get a good look though so cant ID it.
