I have some Panda Garras that are juveniles and none of them have any red on their tails. I have been seeing pictures of them on line with red on their tails. Do they get the red when they get older or do some not have red on the tail?

They say they are variable. I just added two and they are not alike either..one has more cream in wider bands than the other. I think as they get larger and older..the best color has yet to come.
Said to reach up to 4"..thats a big Panda.

They are doing a fine job on algae. Much better than Ancistrus that seems to only go over wood. Panda's go over plant leaves something Ancistrus hasn't done. Panda's seem to ignore wood..I would guess its not needed unlike ALL the Pleco's of the world. Panda's are more Labeo like..but much, much, better than them on algae.
Plus Panda's do all this in the day where you can see them.
Try and get a pic..but they are 2" or less. Chances of getting a sharp picture is low with my camera!
