why would the seller have this statement about garra rufa, in their listing…

it seems out of place, as this seller has, and does sell several species of garra, some not often seen, and I don’t notice any specific care requirements different in the rufa listing from the other garra species listings, yet none of the others have this statement…

just trying to figure out if I missed something???

You'd have to ask the seller, but suspicious me says Garra rufa is often used to exfoliate human skin, as 'spa fish', and spa fish are very short lived. They may have had some unethical customers who abused the fish and then wanted more under guarantees. That would be my cynical guess.

I've kept and bred Garra rufas for a number of years in the past and to be honest, I don't consider them being sensitive. So, I don't know what the seller has based this information on. And actually, I also haven't heard of others that they were sensitive.

I may have got my answer today… can you say bait fish??? all 5 of them were 1 inch or less in length, unfortunately went into a 45 gallon tank with river rock for substrate 3-4 times totaling about a half hour I’ve spent peering into the tank, and seen no sign of them… same tank has the disappearing khuli loaches ( 5 times the size ). so if they can disappear, and thrive, I’ll probably see them later
