Tell me about it i was really gutted.
What annoyed me was that the company emailed me on thursday to say the background has been dispatched and to expect it midweek this week. Then today they email me again to say they are out of stock and iv gotta wait 2 weeks til they have more in!
Iv waited so long for this aquarium and now iv gotta wait a further 2 weeks.
I guess good things comes to those who wait.
Soon as everythins up and running il take a pic and post it in here. Il take another once i have fish too! :)

How gutting!at least u can start on the cycle tho.i wud kick up a fuss and demand dis count.can u not just put water only in the new tank then add the background etc when it comes?

Cant wait to see pics

I could but its not really worth it because i would have to empty it all again. The Background goes on the inside of the tank and the silicone used to stick the background on takes 24hours to dry/set.
And if the filter is off for that long all the bacteria will die and il have to start from square one.
Im better off jus breaking in the new filter in the old cycled tank (and transfer all old filter media) then when the background finally arrives i can jus put the new filter on the new tank and put fish in straight away. Hopefully
Thats the plan anyway lol

TBH i ddnt knw you had to stick the background in, never used one as rather have the water space :)
Yep

Depending on what style you go for, they really dont take up much space. They jus add a cool realistic touch to the aquarium:)

Fair enough, they do look awesome but I'm happy with my boring black background atm! I had a nice tre stumpy one on my old tank but it is too small for my new one!

Black background looks really good on ur aquarium tho coz u have a heavily planted tank!
Im not gona have any real plants in mine as i want a tank thats really easy to keep and maintain, so i opted for a 3D background kinda as a subsitute for real plants.
Have u added ur new Corys and Neons to your aqaurium yet?

Does anybody know...

If i fully cycled a external Fluval 305 canister filter in a 60L tank usin 4ppm of ammonia every 24hours, would the filter have the same amount of bacteria as cycling the same filter with the same amount of ammoina but in a 260L tank???

Yes.It is not the volume of water that effects the bacteria but the volume of ammonia in the tank water. So as long as you up the ammonia dose to the bigger volume of water the bacteria will be quite happy.

Cooooooool

Il stick up a pick of my new tank tomorrow so u can check it out.
Its got a cool design that allows the intake and outlet tubes of the external filter to come up through the bottom of the tank rather than bein hooked over the back of the tank!

Cant wait to get it up n running properly!!

Thats the same design on my roma240, very handy not having to mess around with hosing behind the tank :good:

Keith.
