My Possible New Tank

I was thought as long as it stops letting off gas bubbles ect and had a good old boil wash and a serious scrubbing so they was clean but I could be wrong and I'm always open to suggestions and Being put right as it'll help me improve my fish keeping skills
I'm not sure. You may be right but I don't want to say for certain

I know the OP isn't getting the 7 footer any more but it's got me fantasizing over a huge tank, all the way around the room. If only...

I've had my rocks in my tank say 1.5 months and my fish seem to be happy so I might've been lucky

Well hopefully I'll be picking up my new tank in the next couple of days. Can't wait and I'm thinking of doing a fishless cycle as by the time all my new plants/ sand and what ever else decor I decide to get turns up I should have hopefully completed the cycle.

It's like being like a kid knowing its Xmas tomorrow ad all the presents are under the tree lol

I'm exactly like you in that sense. Anything like having a new tank, new fish, filter, whatever, I'm like a big kid lol

Fishless cycle is the best way, quicker, easier and no fish at risk :) looking forward to some pics..

I was thinking a fishless Cycle as its safer on the fish plus give me time to add plants, sand ect along the way and to scape the tank without freaking the fish out in the process.

And I've just got off the phone to the aquatics where I'm getting the tank from and asked if I could swap/ exchange my co2 kit as Ive never used it since I've had the tank and it's just taking up room and this is what it looks like

Any rough ideas how much it's worth it's brand is jbl and it's out of gas. Someone on here said a while ago its roughly around £25 as I want to go in there with a price in mind so to speak As I want to swap for a ehiem 2217 external ( second hand ) which is rated for 600l tanks and mine is 470 plus I'll be running a couple internals just to give extra help lol.

Im a bit of a newb, but what model is it? if its not too much hassle, I may be interested in having it from you?

I have no idea what the co2 kit model is as I'm round the In laws but I was going to trade it against a external filter out of the aquarist where I'm getting my tank from as they have second hand tanks there

Could you pm me the details of the shop too please :) nice tank btw good price too !! Ive been looking for a 3d background for a 5ft and tbe prices ive seen are near enough what you paid for everything :0

Don't quote me on this but I don't think all rocks found on the beach would be suitable to put in a tank...

I'm not sure which are and which aren't or how you check if they are suitable. Just giving you a heads up.

I'm sure there is someone here that can explain for you :)

I got a huge bag of rocks from world of water for £6 they are outside with the pond stuff. Just give them a rinse and they are lovely
