First time I had my tap water tested it was 8 Carbonate hardness, today I had it done again and it is 5. In my tank the KH is 4 and the GH is 3. Does this mean if I used rain water collected from the flat roof on my home extension I may be able to get away with keeping other fish types than guppies etc? Remember, most fish sold over in UK now have been tank bred in this country.
Still have not added any ammonia yet to my tank, as I need to get my car through its MOT first, and that is likely to knock a hole in what little money I have saved, but am hopeful to start it this week.
