no i didnt the guy really started messing about, he also wanted me to take and 18inch catfish shark thing with it!!!,so was a def no go!!
theres another on sale but its only 5ft.so i think ill forget that one and go for a happy medium (6ft)

£25? bargain... I would have bought him for 4 x that amount...
then again, i dont think my jags would take to nicely to him.. Jags are ***** fish and a half...

Wow what a bully, they look good now, well done Dr nelly, you must have been gutted at first. Was the vieja new to the tank or did he just get mad and decide to eliminate them one day out of the blue?
I keep looking at vieja's, such characters, just love argentea's, one day i'll go for it but the aggression towards tankmates is holding me back, wish i could get an acception to the rule well behaved one.

Yep. I sort out all the American cichlids in work, ( i work part time in MA aquatics) and claimed i could sell the new delivery of V. Guttulatum and hartwegi for £105, £40 more than what the manager recomended. they were around that size.
Nobody belived me and the manager said theyd be there for ever at that price.
but surely enough.
All were sold within a week...
If i had another tank, it would be for Vieja. Such a stunning species..
but unfortunatly, i dont think my jags would be too happy for another "friend" inhabiting THEIR tank...

yea know what your saying, my mate has it in her tank alone and she loves it!!!!!
they are beautiful fish and snap if i had a large set up then id get a few again, space doesnt allow it in my flat,
anyhow ive got to curb getting fish because i have this lot and if i go to colombia within the next year then its more to rehome,,,

well thats the plan to move either this year or next,,got to iron out some teething problems first, as in buy a property and sell our here, rehome my tank to my sister whos also a fishoholic,,,,,
and this time where going in july is to buy a flat and find some jobs hopefully
