Ok I did a little digging, research and adding and my $7,000 guess was a little off
With all the recepts i kept and remembering what just about what everything cost me it added
up to about $6,200 give or take 2 to 3 hundred more.
It still don't make my wallet feel any better.

I bet the rocks are hard to clean...
;) you dont clean the rocks
Yeah you definitely don't want to clean the rocks in a saltwater tank.
Live rock is basically a natural filter for marine tanks. It has tons of live creatures living in the rock so cleaning it will kill them all thus sending the tank parameters down the drain...crash and burn :(

In a freshwater tank I guess you would want to clean the rock every so often.

Hazmat :D

Just want to say what an amazing set set up and a great post to read  I have just spent a good portion of my morning reading this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its reading posts like this one that spur you on to make a great set-up of your own.

Thanks Hazmat for sharing all your pics. :D

Stunning... simply stunning.

The shots remind me of my dad's photos he brings back from diving in places like the maldives and red sea e.t.c... beautiful.
