For those of you who feed mosquito larvae to your fish, how do you harvest it? I mean, the water it is wiggling around is, almost always, not exactly clean.
Since it is getting warmer here now and mosquitos are already buzzing around, it won't be long before they are is every standing water pool available. We actually have them almost year round here. So how does one gather them? I am thinking about using a net, of course, and then transferring them to a bucket of treated water, then transferring them to the tank. Does this seem like a good way?
I have read about people feeding it to their fish before but not really any details on how they go about it. I am not even sure if it is a good thing to do or not.
Any advice, opinions, and suggestions?
