Molly Compatible Fishes

Neons are neon tetras, they grow to only about 3 cm long and are quite thin compared to mollies. Around here, you could get 2 neons for the price of one nice molly. Another fish that looks quite similar is a cardinal tetra. Unless you are observant, you will not be able to tell them apart from neons. In the neons, the color striping only goes part of the body length while in a cardinal it goes the full length. Neons look nothing like glowlight tetras so I don't know where that came from. I do like a glowlight tetra's looks but it is nothing like a neon.

sir i read all of three links two were same but cardinal tetras bring me to silver dollar fish, is that same?
and about neon tetras they are nearly among most beautifull fish i had seen yet!

I will do enquiry for these fishes locally.
Ordering them on internet will cost more on shipping than on the fish!

Silver dollar is not the same has cardinals,here is a link to cardinals,cardinals tend to be slightely bigger than neons although look very similar

My LFS people suggest me Carp Fish,
a bit bigger than molly and some what like goldfish.

i think that won't work.
some buddy posted a chat for fish compatibility but in that chart,
carp is not writen any where,
what you suggest?

No!! a carp is a pond fish,goldfish is part of the carp family also,both get extremely large.

i visited LFS and find neon tetras at one store!!

Not as impressive as in photographs!

They were very small!!

and he was selling them at RS.100/pair.
where molly comes for Rs.40/pair.

Might be he guessed i am too much intrested!

So just bought a Fish Food(Spirulina)
, as my familiy was not apritiating me for feeding Meat to fish!!

and a sponge filter for fry tank!

A neon tetra will be very small beside a molly of the same age. They are very small but colorful fish. Around me a neon is far cheaper than a good molly, but I am sure that there are local variations in the price of both fish too.

Yes sir,
i said LFS Man that it is a very small and not so costly fish.
He replyed that their is an availability issue.

But Neon tetra have very brilliant colours !

i'll think about them some what later on!
when i'll have some spare money!
