Livebearing fish are truly great in my opinion. It's not about colors that makes them great from my point of view. Their behavior and genetics makes them very interesting to me. There are so many livebearers (mollies, guppies, swordtails and platies are just a small percentage of all livebearers) with all different traits, behavior and needs. From cold water till warm water. From very reproductive till small batches of fry. From a short gestation period till a long gestation period. From soft till hard water conditions. From friendly till aggressive.
