Misleading Information Leading To Tank Change

They look funny? Could it be the quality of the image?
Like I said I'm not expert, it might just be the angle that's throwing me off.

Maybe they just don't have the best stockists. I'd wondered if my little unknown had been the product of two related fish and so became deformed, his mother was 4x his size.
It could be he's a crossbreed, but it's not that likely.
And tbh I would never buy fish from a shop which claims that platys, mollys and guppys are coldwater fish. Or even worse actually refers to them a 'coldwater mollys' 'coldwater platys' etc. As though there is some distinction between tropical and coldwater strains/species of those fish.

The second shop you went to sounds much more reputable, they explained that it was true that they can survive at much lower temperatures than some tropical fish. But that at the end of the day they are tropical fish.

can you record films with your camera?

I'm not sure, it's my father's camera so I'd have to ask. He's gone out, but if I can I'll make sure I take a video.

Aye, aye. Well, I'll see what other images I can get.

The second store does seem more experienced, even though the original store is quite a common name in the UK now.. I'll double and triple check all information and once I get everything identified and taken care of, I'll go from there. First thing's first! Need to order a heater!

Although noone has mentioned it yet, if pickle is indeed similar to the picture you have shown he is in fact a she! :good:
It's only the males that have the very bright colours and flowing fins.

I had thought of that for a while, and wouldn't be suprised. It's nice to hear someone else question it though, I'm not exactly that confident in my opinions lol. Thank you!

Hillbilly is right, the one in that picture 'similar to pickle' is a female. And from the pictures of Pickle it does look more like a female than a male just going by lack of colouring.

Oh, yes, I'm sorry. I didn't want to fill the post up too much with pictures so I thought image links would be better.
