That's really weird.

They must have done something to offend each other. If they don't spawn within a couple days, maybe take them both out, recondition them for a little while, and then try again.

Yeah, that's the plan. I think Mini just got tired of Lil nipping at her and isn't coming as close to the nest because of it. They don't bother one-another as long as they're on opposite sides of the tank though, so they'll be fine for a couple more days

Oh most definitely. Lil keeps trying to get Mini to come to the nest, but then when she doesn't follow he nips her and she swims off again.

I just had a thought. Maybe try separating her from him again via hurricane glass, jar, whatever it is you had her in to introduce her. Wait until she's responsive to Lil again, and then release her back with him? That way, they can flirt with each other, without her feeling like she's going to be nipped at.

I put her back in the jar this morning... planning to leave her to rest a few days and then try again. I think she just got tired of being nipped and lost her nerve

I just put them back together today... Mini's confidence has returned, so we'll see. Fingers crossed!!

Well, I'm starting all over from scratch. Mini obviously isn't interested in breeding at the moment and is getting stressed by Lil's constant chasing, so I'm separating them up and conditioning them all over again. Hopefully mini will drop a few eggs, because she looks like a blimp right now

I'll try them again in a week or two, and if it doesn't work out this time, I've got a small red CT male coming from wuv that I'll try with Mini instead

Yeah, Mini has a few tears, but that's about it
Lil has one tear in his caudal fin... mini bit it, ripped a sliver out, and ATE it
