How's it going? Did you release Mini with Lil' yet? Dying to know what's going on.

Woohoo, the two are together and Lil is definitely a male. I'm expecting eggs by the end of the day!

Yay! Embracing!!!!! I remember when my bettas first embraced I sceramed and ran around ) I really hope the spawn goes well and those eggs hatch and become really pretty bettas someday =]

HAHA! Lil tried to wrap with Mini, but Mini hasn't figured this whole thing out yet and kinda wiggled away.... so Lil basically just wrapped with himself and went into paraylsis for a few seconds
That's probably pretty awkward in the betta world. Good thing none of the guys saw that, or they'd all be laughing

I love when the males paralyze themselves. It's so hilarious. Then they come out of it, and I swear they look a little abashed.

Um... they've embraced a couple of times now, but Mini has yet to release any eggs... is this normal?

Yeah, it's normal. Lil probably hasn't gotten completely into position yet. Sometimes it takes them HOURS to figure it out, sometimes just a few minutes. They'll get it right eventually. They'll kind of "click" into place when they get it right, and then Mini will start releasing eggs.

Haha... just good ol' fashioned bloodworms and white worms
Still no eggs, but the bubblenest covers the complete underside of the cup now!! Mini hasn't figured out how to get in the head-down position, i think. Lil seems to know exactly what he's doing at this point, though *lol*

Maybe I won't have eggs by the end of the day after all, but they're definitely working at it

They're working. They're just inept. That's okay, though. They'll get it eventually. Some just take longer than others.

Still no eggs and Mini has begun playing hard to get
I'll leave her in there for another day or two...

That's really weird.

They must have done something to offend each other. If they don't spawn within a couple days, maybe take them both out, recondition them for a little while, and then try again.
