Just thought I'd share pictures of some of my boys and girls. :)

God only knows how old he is. I've had him for at least 3 years now, probably more. He's still as spry as ever, and loves hanging out with guppies in a 30 gallon. He's the only social betta I'm aware of.

I positively goggled when I saw this betta. A coworker told me about it and made me go look. He was at her LFS many, many, MANY miles from mine. I said no. She showed me that pic above. I had them hold him over the phone and went to get him.

He's now much prettier as his fin filled in and his colors turned almost neon with good food and clean water. I simply adore him.

I squeal like a little girl every time I look at my THAILAND BETTAS!! He's so beautiful! He is actually he daddy of my first spawn. :) Pictures of the fry, the rest of the males, the girls, and distance shots of their beautiful aquariums soon. (Even got live plants to grow! Yay me!!)

That last one is gorgeous! I shall just take him, okay?

Lovely :D can we see the setups too? I like to get new ideas :)

Awesome Bettas, Kasumi! Crest looks like an eclipse, soooooooo beautiful.

I'm sincerely flattered you guys want to see my setups, but I'm afraid I'm more in need of suggestions then able to give out ideas. This is Crest's tank:

Excuse the water marks all over the front. I didn't wipe up before I shot photos.

He's in a 10 gallon with 3 bundles of random plants I got from my LFS. I selected them purely because I've never grown them before, and thus that species has not yet died in my care. They started to go mushy on me, and then I read on the bottle of my plant improvers that the c02 is supposed to be added daily. Now that they are getting co2 daily they seem a lot perkier!

That's a tetra filter in the corner, and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. He spends most of his time begging me for treats, since this is the tank on my desk. Any thoughts on how to improve? I'm very new to aquascaping. I kept my bettas in 1-2 gallon bowls before I started getting 10 gals for them.

I know my Bettas both like having plants at the surface. You can have tall plants that lay across the surface or add some floating plants maybe! I could picture Watersprite planted near the water-intake tube to pretty up the area as well as give him greenery to explore near the surface.

The piece of wood you have in there is perfect, it gives him a sense of security, hiding places, as well as a place of interest where he can swim under and through! :)

Oooh, what a wonderful idea! I would definitely love more plants in there. I'm feeling a lot braver as my plants are putting out new leaves and new runners :) I'll see if I can find some water sprite.

Yes, looks good but I think more plants would be beneficial.

Anubia leaves are fantastic as they are wide enough for a betta to rest on - however they need to be above the substrate as their roots need water exposure. Most attach them to bogwood or ornaments :)

I was told, and read up on them, that Watersprite do well even in low lighting and are good beginner plants. :)

Does anyone have any experience with shipping plants? I went to my LFS for a look around the other day, and the selection is pretty limited. I can get the mystery bundles, wisteria, or a really expensive crypt. I saw some online I could get, but not sure how well plants do being shipped?

I have had no issue with shipping plants and actually that is how I get most of mine nowadays.  Very rarely have I gotten any that didn't make the trip.

Where are you located WildBetta?  Do you have any suggested sellers/websites?
