Well, if you can get a better picture of the supposed Scotts, I can get an ID for you. I'll just bring the photo to Dave's tank over at my LFS, point and ask him since he probably has lit

what lovley looking fish that scotts wrasse is stunning

been looking at some wrasses maybe for my 30g tank but not sure if most wrasses need a bigger tank was looking at peacock wrasses the other day

Yes, I am squizing him in. Its naughty, but I couldnt refuse. He is about 2" at the moment, and both eating like pigs. I have a project on the go ATM, which im keeping secret, it might not go ahead, but if it does, they will move. If it doesnt go ahead, and the wrasse do grow, ill either upgrade or sell them on. :good: I think the Lineatus is ok in the 30g for now though, but long term the Scott's will need more room.

I've noticed with marines piccys hardly do justice, so that must be one find wrasse lol

LMAO, so right mate. I think you can capture true colour in photography, but you just need the right tools, and skill. I just have a run of the mill cam, LOL.

Cheers Ski, ill try. Someone at RC ID'd it as a male Australian Scott's. Ill deffinately try though. Aparently they can get aggresive, but my guy plays dead in the corner, then when you feed, he comes out and gorges. LMAO.

A little photoshop never hurts where colors are concerned. Still can't help my shaky hands though

Im officially bummed.

Both Black Acro Gobies did not eat well, and died, basically MIA. Both wrasse died today. One via jumping, one via starvation. The Aussie Scott's ate, but not enough, as the established clowns wouldnt let it eat. I also just bought a mesh cover for my tank, and my Lineatus wrasse decides his fourth time he will make a real go of suicide. My Rainsford also starved.

Lessons learnt:

Ok, so I picked a tough fish in the Rainsford Goby, but I am still bitterly disappointed, I will try in a more established larger tank, where a food source might be sustainable however, but I wont buy a second in this 3fter. I havnt heard any bad reports about Acro Gobies not eating, so I was pretty bummed about this. Lids are a must with Wrasse, fit them BEFORE you buy a wrasse. DO NOT add a fish into a tank with a LARGE pair of established Clowns.

Im so angry and upset for my animals...im so sad.

Sorry to hear about that Mr. M, stinks to loose fish like that :(

Looks good :good: I'm not a huge fan of Acro's unless you get the real colouful ones but I'm sure they will look great. How bout a FTS now... :hey:

Thanks Sianeds, Acros are nice when you get good colour. For now im only testing some frag's survivability. Im mixing some Kalk so I can control my Calc/Alk, but my other params seem fine, and lighting should hopefully be an issue now resolved. :good:

A FTS eh? Dont mind the black cardboard, it was there to stop the MH glare! :p Things have changed now again since the Acro's have gone in. :shifty:

What's the name of that cool little (well, actually not that little lol) crab? Must be one of those really-cool-things-you-can-get-in-Australia-that-we-could-never-dream-of-getting-in-America crabs. ;)

DIBS goal is to go worldwide some day and I am positive that Brian would love to have an organized effort at breeding in Australia.

Wow, it has been a while since I have been on TFF, but a PM from KJ prompted me to come back, and thought I should update this thread! :good:

I dont have a great camera, so when I hosted my local aquarium club (MASAOG) last month, a few budding photographers, including Rod Connock and Adam Edwards help me capture some great colour in my corals!

And yes, you guessed it, I have turned to the darkside with numerous SPS. I also have a H. barbouri who I feed multiple times a day with frozen food. Picked him up for $20 from a mate tearing down his breeding system.
