I lost in that discussion WD. I was reminded that any member wanting to know the location of another could use the member profiles. I always thought it was a good idea to show location information because it made interactions easier. As simply as I can say it, it seems the new software we are using simply does not allow that.

Thanks for that OM, I'm pleased to know the discussion was had. I do use the profiles now and of course it's not that much more trouble. I'm impressed enough at all the work it must be tending to the sysadmin duties that I wouldn't want to think of them mucking with custom script lines that the current forum version doesn't do easily. WD

When it comes to media, almost anyone within the UK should be able to exchange media with someone else in that area. The shipping distances are simply too small to make much difference. In the US, there really are large enough distances of over 1000 miles to be able to make a difference, but that is not true within the UK. Why not try using the reference topic to find someone nearby? Shipping fertile media is simple. Anyone who has media worth shipping can do so by simply shipping moist or wet media, not necessarily containing any water. On another forum I have even shipped material from the US to Canada with no troubles. All it took was a desire to be successful. In my case, I made a shipment of material when the local temperatures were marginal at best. It took a full week for my shipment to arrive, but all went well for the person who received that shipment. I now see her advertising the results of the material I sent her as a commercially available product on that forum. She is into things more on a commercial scale than I ever would be which is her privilege.
