Well why don't you do that? Apart from the fact that you would have to ditch your current fish which just wouldnt be fair!

It decided to escape up the tube into the bottle I was filling! I then managed to catch it in a net in the sink (plug still in) so unplug the sink and about to move off to my room with it when he jumps into the sink and we struggled for a few mins but he was too sly for even me and went down the bloody plug hole! Silly fish that it was! Oh well I suppose it happens!

Well managed to get rid of 20 of my sunset platy fry! I really want a bigger tank or loads more different tanks! My boyf says I'm not allowed any more which totally sucks

That's crazy!!! Yeah, I think my current arrangement of fish is going to workout, once I decide how to handle the CAE situation...I also forgot to mention on other post, I was looking at them this morning and now can only find 2 Zebras...I swear to God when I go to sleep they're all ok like 5, then yesterday or the day before 4, then last night had to finish off the one that looked extremely hurt (although could be sick, but i don't have ammonia prob and just treated the tank) so 3 last night, then this morning, I can only find 2...What the hell is going on?? Although I would like to see the CAE try and take on the remaining big Zebra as she is a *****, she is the one that chased all the Zebras and the Neons around when I first got them and probably would give the CAE a run for his money lol...Anyway, grrrr im not so sure what to do if it is the CAE I should try and return it i guess as I CAN'T have a tank for just one fish, and I don't like the idea of getting more fish for him to eat esp if he attacks platys....That's good and you got to meet the Fish Rescue Guy on here right? Also, that sucks about the b/f....I was told not to buy anymore either and I don't plan on it...well maybe two more cories to go with the other two since they are the small kind...but other than that i want to wait for the babies to be born and see what happens with the CAE.....

I had three CAE's thanks to my LFS I'm glad I took them back even if they were great fun to watch! You do know they grow to about 10 inches dont ya?

I know what ya meant by calling us brits CRAZY lol........ Even though I must admit I'm probably more zany than crazy

Zebra danios are mental fish I must admit or they were when I used to have them about 10 years ago!

I found it hard to return my CAE's I must admit I dont enjoy causing a fuss but the guy sooo wanted me out of the shop and said that I was totally wrong about the fish etc......... Then again I was sold them under the name of a golden weather loach which they werent after finding this place I found out what they really were and how bad they can be! Then again the LFS then went on to give me 2 baby plecs even though I'm stood there saying that I have a small tank etc but the guy insists they only grow to 4" which will still be too big! All I wanted was some ottos or even shrimp! Oh well I hope they are slow growing!

I've managed to persuade my b/f to let me get another betta when I've got rid of my baby platies Ok I told him it will be for him really but of course I get to choose it and set it all up!

Oooh 2h 45 mins to go and then I'm out of here again!

Yeah it was the fish rescue guy who took them kinda glad that they are going to a good home!

Your right bout the survival of the fitest being leave them to fend for themselves in community tank!

I'll eventually get a decent camera! The only pic I've posted is of my dog in the household pets section!

What did the catfish turn out to be? From what I can remember it looked like a bronze cory to me but I've slept since then!

hahaha!!! Yeah, the CAE was sold to me b/c Originally I was like I want one of those black sucker fishes to clean my tank, and they were like no you don't they'll grow too big for your tank and eat your neons, etc. Here take this CAE it's small and won't hurt anything...GRRRRRR then I come on here read how evil they are and how big they become and start experiencing the evil first hand as he grew huge in like a week....Yeah I know what you mean...I consider this thread, my "Conversation with Natsuko Thread" lol anyway, yeah I'm soooo bored at work i make tea all day and read this sometimes hit the news, maybe do actual work for like 30 minutes my cories were Bronze C. Aeneus and C. Plaeteus (sp?) They're so cute together with my prego right now although i envision the three of them fighting over food on the bottom of the tank as my platy is a pig but anyway...yeah I got a betta and he (guessing its a he since it hasn't jumped outta the tank, I have no lid since I went to my dads house few weeks ago and he heard about my fish hobby and was like here take the old tanks we have here but there's no lids, filters, hoods anything) is white sorta blue color but mostly white...that one is in my living room on the shelving unit...The only other fish so far that I've been kind of curious about, but not so sure if i could ever get them in with all my other fish are the dwarf puffers, they seemed kind of cute too when I read about them...right now though plan on focusing on the platys and the corys....maybe eventually depending on size of tank, adding back the neons, and maybe a molly or swordtail, as I really like the silver mollys with the huge fins, they always are so pretty at the store....Anyway, I got an email from my Mexico office so I have one little work to do that will last me 2 minutes, sigh...I should setup webcams around my fish tank so when im bored i could log onto a site and watch my fish LOL Now that is called CRAZY

Hey thats kind of a cool idea having a web cam! I have a couple fo pics of my fish on my phone so if I get bored I look at it and just imagine what they are doing! No doubt my betta is flaring at his reflection, the platies are probably being a bit randy even though the females are getting a bit fed up of both males esp when they both try it on at the same time with my heavily pregnant one!

Don't dwarf puffers need brakish water? My LFS has some of them I think they're cute but don't know if I quite fancy them! I eventually want a big tank with loads of community fish maybe try having another pair of angels, only prob with them is that they tend to kill fry just for the fun of it or thats what my mums did to my fry they just bit the heads off the body and left them!

Yeah I suppose I should get some work done! But that means working and that just isnt a nice thought lol

yeah hahaha...when i was a kid my parents didn't know anythign and had angels...they kept wondering where all the small fish kept going until they realized the angels were killers lol yeah I don't know either what I want to do yet...if they need brackish water i think that is a no no for the cories so probably wouldn't go with that....sigh yes I am making up work for myself to do now...

I'm not sure if it is brakish water that they all need but I'm going from what I remember reading as a teenager!

My mum just thought that angels were lovely pretty fish which is why she bought them for my tank (they were her fish though), bloody things even did a couple of spawns in the tank but ate them ! Got a good price for trading them in though so couldnt grumble at that!

Unfortunately I have enough work to do that I don't need to make any up ! Oh well I have a window with a tree outside so I suppose I could just stare blankly into space at the tree or maybe even watch the birds! That's one thing I missed last week when I was in the other office! But worst of all I wont be able to be on here as much as of tomoz as my supervisor is back and she sits right behind me! Oh well I'll find away I'm sure!

ahhaha ok...yeah that sucks about the angel fish...yeah I used to like my old office as we were on the 22nd floor and i could see to Canada from my desk and all of Detroit skyline...current office is only 3rd floor and is down the street from old building so i have a lovely view of a highway...hence my blinds are closed yeah be careful don't get in trouble with your supervisor though...

Oooh I bet that old view was great! Mines just of a eucaliptus tree and a few bushes and then another part of the same building! Only on second floor (glad too don't like heights)! Get to see a few random birds though so cant grumble!

I wonder if my fish has dropped her fry yet she is getting way too fat and I'm sure she is nearly at 4weeks pregnant if not longer, depending on if she had already started to grow the fry whilst near the end of her last pregnancy! Makes me glad I aint a fish having to go through soo many pregnancies and give birth to around 30 babies at a time! Well thats how many mine seem to average at the moment!

yeah, my grandma, who's soooo paranoid was freaked when i got this job and was like you need to buy a parachute in case terrorists hit your building i was like lol yeah terrorists are going to attack a building in a suburb of detroit that has nothing in it lol anyway yeah the 3rd floor is ok and i guess its ok since the highway view is ok and i can see my old building and trees...just nothing beat the view of the bridge to canada, the whole detroit skyline, and being able to see trees for miles and miles....esp in teh fall when they'd all turn colors yeah i think when i posted a pic of my platy anna was like 1-2 weeks or so and we're approaching the two week mark, so im hopin that means this weekend ill be having babies

You'll love it when you find your babies! I've been waiting years to be able to watch them be born! I was lucky that my last one did it during the day! Even though I only got to see about five out of the thirty being born the rest just seemed to appear and that was whilst I was watching! I think they just magically multiplied by themselves as barely took my eyes off her!

yeah see lol im trying to understand what bad word you put in here that ends in an e...but all i can think of that i would say is loat of $**T or something like that, so that is what I mean about the different english slang Yeah, it must be crazy for you, I've never been to NY either, would like to go someday, but same thing seems very busy and too crazy for me...If I ever got over there I would have to go to London of course, then must visit Scotland since my Great Grandma was from there along with most of my relatives...other half are from Germany...visiting would be bad though as I like Burberry stuff and would probably buy a bunch of new work shirts, a wallet, and other crap i really don't need Anyway have a good one!

Your word guessing was correct lol! I've been to Scotland once for a wedding it was great apart from being allergic to summat! The highland cattle are really cute!

Londons too expensive for my liking been a couple of times during my childhood!

Our American temp said that I should go to Boston apparently its nice over there!

Hmmm not too keen on burberry, our chav's wear that! (not making a dig at you) Just saying that its what all of them wear but it is quite amuzing to watch them with they're little chiuaua (cant remember how to spell) with a burberry lead and matching collar, then they'll have a coat to match, and the owner carries a burberry bag as well as wearing the cap too! Its quite a sight to see as they go way OTT with it!

LOL what's a CHAV??? Anyway, I only have two shirts, as they're pretty expensive and since I'm not that rich, just something nice that i got for christmas Anyway, yeah I've never been to Boston either, but I think of all the big cities, Boston probably would be best as it's East Coast and a lot better than Detroit. Detroit where I grew up (actually suburb) has nothign to do really, I mean it does a little, but not like other places I've been. Anyway, I have a crapload of work now and think i found a problem so I won't be back for a while.

Ok I hit Wikipedia to find out about Chav LOL yes most ppl in America that wear brand stuff are like that too....For me I just like the plaid pattern since it kind of reminds me of my heritage from over there anyway hahahaha I'm not a Chav most of my clothes are very cheap and old...my pair of regular shoes are 4-5 years old Anyway catch ya later!

A Chav is one of them people that really get on your nerves they think they are IT and Classy as they hang around street corners with bottles of cider and a fag in they're gob! Also the girls are mostly those that sleep around and the guys think they are sooo touch as they have a bulldog tattoo on they're arm! They also have absolutely loads of chunky gold jewellry on that looks trashy! Well thats what our are like anyway!
