Oooh managed to find someone on here that wanted my platy fry! So if I get rid of them and the tank they'e in it means that I won't need to fall out with my dad as he said no more than two tanks in my room! Bet it back fires on me lol

YEAH it'll probably backfire somehow...but congrats on finding homes. I'm already warning people if my platy bursts and there's a hundred babies, everyone is getting a bunch of little fish to take care of i just hope the mickey mouse purple colored platy is prego with same looking fry...id love to have one huge tank filled with all kinds of platys

Argh bad news I don't fit the two foot tank will fit where I want it so it would mean scrapping my current tank which was gonna be home to just my betta! So it's a case of one or the other as I know there is no way my dad is going to let me take over the house with tanks! Good incentive to get a place of my own though! Oh well time to rethink things which means using my brain for the rest of the day whilst I work!

I'm at work, but want to add more pics They don't come out so well...Also Anna said it's actually called a High Fin Blue Mickey Mouse Platy, but it looks purple to me...Anyway I'm off to the NAIAS today...so I'm gonna miss my new addiction of reading these forums while I'm bored...but at least I'll get to see some cool cars

Have fun! I've finished for the day so won't get chance to get back on until Monday(Bummer), oh well then again will have to cut down on how often i'm on as will be back in normal office with supervisor! I just hope someone will be off sick again so i can work in they're office! Oh well have cool weekend and don't work too hard! Get those pics soon

Hey yeah, I never caare about who's watching me do what...LOL I have my own cube, and figure, hey half my office is on ebay anyway so what if i'm posting about my fish My sunset platy still hasn't given birth....I really hope she does soon as I keep coming here and seeing all the posts about everyone having fry Also, my Blue High Fin I think the male sunset wag is like horny or somethin cuz he was all over her yesterday then she hid in the cave and refuses to come out, and I mean I only got to see her once last night when she came out. I'm trying to decide to leave her there or move her to the 5 gallon tank for now so she can have some alone time wihtout the threat of being humped or having to constantly hide in the cave, which i admit is sorta cute b/c I can see her one eye if i push my face close to the tank...I'm starting research, since my plan would be impossible, currently saw 55 gal $165 or so I think, but since it is a long tank i need to re-think what i would move...i would need a long table to fit it on which would mean i would need to get rid of my computer desk, or find a desk that is more modern/small so i could move my big tv and stands outta the way and put the tank along that wall...or move my love seat to a different room and make my whole wall next to my entrance a fish wall...sigh *so how were last year's results? is the audit done yet? I really need some new fish equipment* (says to accounting dept at HQ) LOL....sigh By the way did u see the pics i posted??? She really looks purple in those, but the other day before the attempted humping she was really turning bluish color like Anna said...Also, I hate the term Mickey Mouse Platy, I so want to figure out a different pattern to call it by that instead of Mickey Mouse...

Must admit I hate mickey mouse platy as a name! I'm still waiting for my platies to drop again, I might be lucky by the weekend as the first one is def showing sings of being about to drop again!

I have one very randy male I've named him spike as he has a bit of a point to his tail, his colours are darker the orange on his fins is nearly red and the yellow is basically the same as the smilies on here! Whereas my other male is really pale in comparison but still pretty horny too....... I feel soooo sorry for my females luckily they keep the males in check constantly telling the males off!

I'm starting to sulk as I don't have enough room to set up another tank....... Argh need more room..... It's tempting to scrap the wardrobe in my room that my dad uses even though I could personally do with the wardrobe space myself for me clothes! Think its time to get a place of my own but my partner wont let me have any more tanks eithre soooo not fair. Good luck in creating a fishy wall sounds pretty cool! You could always set it up like in a LFS with loads of tanks stacked up!

yeah, I know what you mean.hahaha yeah I thought about buying a table putting huge tank on that then re-arranging the glass shelves on my shelving units and arranging my 3, 5, and 10, somehow on that to have a tower of fish LOL anyway, yeah I know how that goes, im going to be single again for first time in like 6 years (note it's not fish related lol) anyway, i can just imagine what ppl will think that i bring home if i have wall to wall fish when they walk in...omg, he's not a cat freak, but there are fish everywhere lol....i still think keeping fish is a little less creepy then the cat ppl *thinks of Cat Lady from Simpsons LOL* Sigh, yeah, I'm afraid of moving out of my condo, as I can't imagine what I will do with the fish/tanks....Anyway, hmmmm could we call them mitsubishi fish? but the marks don't exactly look like diamonds though...grrrr i will think of a new name for these fish b/c I hate the name Mickey Mouse Platy....If anyone has any suggestions and you are reading our conversation, please join in LOL

Yeah that cat lady on simpsons is pretty creepy, I don't want to be like that then again the way I'm going with what I plan to have as pets I might as well be that bad lol...... I think I'm in the wrong job might go join a zoo or summat and get paid to do what I enjoy now that would be a great job! I hope you don't split from your partner, I HATE breaking up with people don't know what I'd do if I broke up with mine then again I think he feels neglected as the dog and fish get more of my attention than him!

Then again I'm still in touch with most of my ex's and I'm glad that I can still talk to them just wish they were better in keeping in touch rather than at random intervals or stupid times in the morning!

Yu can just warn people before they come into your room lol....... Thats what I do just warn them before they enter my friends have learnt never to be suprised by what is in my room its often a joke as to how much different stuff one can have in a single room!

Oh eventually found the fish can't really see the colours in it but she does look cute.... I'm now tempted to have a few of them! Well when I can accomodate them! I'm still thinking of getting a betta to go in my nursery tank (when its empty)! I have way too many ideas of what I want! I have fish on the brain too long as keep having dreams as to what I want next its soooo wrong!

Yeah I know the feeling...actually its a long story, but we're still friends, and kinda have to be since we have a kid and don't like being all crazy and stuff. it's so weird for me b/c basically i went to university here for like 3 semesters, went to japan for 2 semesters, then came back with wife, and then child, then basically got a job at this university, got free schooling/insurance, then got my job here at the trading company so im 25, 5 y/o son, going to be divorced and never had any single life/or crazy college life so I'm not so sure what to do with myself LOL...ppl think i have adhd or something like that so i think my wife feels better knowing i have fish b/c she's not so sure what i would do on nights when she has our son lol, she's all like now you can sit and watch the fish at night lol sigh...oh well, they are fun to watch *turning into crazy cat lady* cept that won't happen till i have a billion platys giving birth every week lol...im cruisin ebay and found a local guy with 50 gal tank everything included for $50 so i put it on watch...I think that's a pretty good deal maybe...What about Sanyo Platys i/o of Mickey Mouse since it is 3 circles, and that is what Sanyo's symbol is I think lol...sigh I'll think of something to name them!!!

now im checkin out a cool hex 35 gal with a stand for$50....ahhh i hate ebay so evil lol

I've never had a student life lol...... It's been more or less work since I was 18! Had single life though much more entertaining than being stuck in a relationship! You could always get a dog they're great fun and they give you cuddle at night lol well mine does everymorning when my partner leaves for work! Hmmm I'm 25 this year and still not married and no kids even though I do have baby clothes, buggy, and now moses basket all courtesy of my partners mum, which she started to collect two years ago the buggy being first on the day my dog got put down (nice suprise I think not)! I wasn't even thinking of having kids up until about five months ago and then its still two years down the line til I might consider trying I blame it on reaching 24 and starting to feel soooo old ! I was engaged to my partner up until last year when we nearly split (his mum drives me insane)! No intentions of being married just yet!

Hey platies are quick at multipling (scuse spelling) you will soon be known as platy fella lol.... and start throwing them at people like cat lady I quite like the Sanyo platy as a name! Dont know why they just dont call it a bog standard blue high fin platy! Whats with the mickey mouse platy anyway and how many types do they need?

hahaha!!! that's funny. Yeah, I think I'll be ok. Yeah Platy Fella LOL...and yes I like the High Fin Blue Platy name better, just leave out Mickey Mouse. I always felt old, b/c all my friends were still in college, going out and having fun, when i was workin 40 hours a week or more, then going to class at night, then coming home to help out w/my son or trying to sleep....she used to ***** at me for going to sleep too much lol...anyway, yes, the second i turned 25 i was like OMG im halfway to 30, and hopefully but OMG again 1/4 of the way to 100!!! Lucky you! I still have 4 more hours at least....

Bloody hell thats a lot of work don't know how you did it...... It's bad enough working a 37 hour week! La la la not listening about the nearly being 30 part that is one thing I aint looking forward to!

Hmmm yeah I'll have a good un tonight I think not lol...... I'm always ratty on a Monday as its family night so my mum, sister, and niece are round along with my partner and there is always an arguement over something or another! Also got Spooky(s) coming over to pick up the platy fry at 7.30 should be interesting!

Did you see my post in tropical chit chat bout loosing a fish down the plug hole! I didnt know whether to laugh or cry when that happened, I think all my fish are trying to escape at the mo as also had 8 fry try to do the same before the escaping rasbora!

LOL I so wish I could be transferred to Mitsubishi London, I love hearing/reading the way you guys say/write stuff hahahahaa...so what did the fish get stuck in? The filter tube to get out?? Yeah, I had a fish at the school I worked at I swear at least twice try that.

Well why don't you do that? Apart from the fact that you would have to ditch your current fish which just wouldnt be fair!

It decided to escape up the tube into the bottle I was filling! I then managed to catch it in a net in the sink (plug still in) so unplug the sink and about to move off to my room with it when he jumps into the sink and we struggled for a few mins but he was too sly for even me and went down the bloody plug hole! Silly fish that it was! Oh well I suppose it happens!

Well managed to get rid of 20 of my sunset platy fry! I really want a bigger tank or loads more different tanks! My boyf says I'm not allowed any more which totally sucks
