lowering ph

Any suggestions on lowering tank ph? Its currently 7.8 which i want to lower to around 7.5.

First can I ask what fish you have that you need to lower it?

The next question is how hard is your water - and what's the KH? The higher the KH the more difficult it is to alter the pH. KH is a buffer which resists changes in pH.

Typically fish that will thrive in 7.5 will still thrive in 7.8. Chances are you get that mch fluctation in the course of the day anyway. Unless there is a very specific reason it probably not worth the effort, or cost.
