Did anyone see this programme? I was mesmerised. I love all David Attenborough documentaries but this was breathtaking beyond belief. Creatures I never knew existed and the way they move and look, they are more like aliens than animals. So sad that the octopus nurtures its 10,000 eggs for six months without eating, sweeping away algae and gently moving the water around them to supply oxygen, then as they hatch, she dies

It's insane what some animals, fish, reptiles, birds and insects etc, do for their young, its astounding.

Some of Attenborough's stuff is amazing, the over powering sound is annoying though!

i know what you mean by the over powering sound, what is that? lol but yes i def saw this one, ive watched every single one so far and all in high def, the detail you see is amazing!!

yes i watched that,amazing care eh,only til they hatch how crazys that,love the 100s of starfish that was there aswell..

Its repeated on Sunday BBC1 6.00pm.

I saw it for the first time last Sunday and was amazed by some of the shots that the camera crew manage to capture, amazing stuff.
Will be watching the episode MermaidMel was refering to this Sunday.

Wasnt it david attenborough that did a documentary years ago on ferrets and gave the public the view that they are nasty creatures? :blink:

I agree though ive seen every one of the life's apart from the mammals
