well tomorrow is the big day. ill be getting the oscar from wharf in the morning and on the way home a quick trip into leicester to pick up the diadema

my rotkeil is pretty skittish at the moment and wont pose for any pics.... sorry! i think its a combination of being seperated from the female and its the only big ish fish in the tank. i hope so anyway

im literally waiting with baited breath for this big oscar to land matt!! i rekon youre pretty much bang on the money with youre thoughts about the rotkeil. being seperated from its mate will be a bit stressful , particularly if it was a well established pair . im sure given time it will settle in .

well ive just finished messing with my tank and im sorry to say that pics will have to wait until tomorrow sorry!

after the trip to wharf aquatics i came home with the big oscar, a jaguar catfish.

then on the way home i picked up the diadema from leicester aquatics.

when trying to rig up the 2nd FX5 on the tank with the media i have been cycling i realised that 1 hose has been cut too short when it was fitted to my other tank so off to maidenhead aquatics in stapleton to find out they have no hose in stock but i saw a 6 inch gold severum that they were looking after for a customer but they had it for about 3 months now so after a bit of friendly bartering from walkers101 we came away with it for £10

so off to A5 aquatics to get the FX5 hose needed

the fish are still settling in so this is the reason i wont be adding pics until tomorrow im affraid..........

although chris did take a few pics of them in the bags and a short video of them so unless he can get them on before i take some pics tomorrow it is.

all in all a pretty good day out at several LFS and not so LFS and a few bargains were had, especially the gold severum hey chris

im now thinking that i need to rearrange the decor to give the oscar more swimming space

yeah well pleased with the fish purchased today Mark especially Keith the oscar i named him Keith for some reason im lovin the jaguar catfish too so thanks to wills who suggested them to me. he wasnt the cheapest fish but a beautifull fish, even the wife said he was nice

the oscar looks fantastic , a big chunky chap . lots of colour for a big oscar too.
